What a unique and eye-catching piece you have here. First of all, the decision to flip the picture works perfectly for this photo. Her foot position, tightly together instead of a normal standing position, create the illusion of hanging or falling perfectly. From this it seems obvious the photographer knew exactly what they wanted to do with the photo from the start.

The flowing of the fabric, which I am still trying to figure out, forms into an amazing set of wispy wings that, with the arms, complete the triangle of her form. Lighting is spot-on, highlighting her outline as well as facial features that grabs your attention without hesitation.

The background is soft and unobtrusive, yet full of detail itself if one takes the time to look, such as the blemishes on the tile or the patterns along the wall. They may go unnoticed individually, but they add to and compliment the picture as a whole nonetheless.

The image spurs the imagination and fills my own mind with whimsy and wonder, as well as a sadness as I ponder the greyscale tones and title. The only mark I have against this piece is that the dimensions are far too small to really appreciate it.
